Dr. Shen Louyan and Mr. Wang Wei from China Nerin were elected the “National Design Master of Geotechnical Investigation and Engineering in Nonferrous Metals Industry”
Recently, the fifth selection of “National Engineering Design Master of Geotechnical Investigation in Nonferrous Metals Industry” organized by China National Association for Non-ferrous Metals Industries Construction came to a successful conclusion. China Nerin Assistant President / Mine Business Unit General Manager Dr. Shen Louyan and Metallurgy Business Unit General Manager Mr. Wang Wei have been awarded the title of “National Design Master of Geotechnical Investigation and Engineering in Nonferrous Metals Industry”. Henceforth, China Nerin has 11 national engineering design masters of geotechnical investigation in nonferrous metals industry.
The award of such honor to Dr. Shen Louyan and Mr. Wang Wei recommended by China Nerin after several rounds of selection from a large number of candidates fully acknowledges their long-term efforts and contributions to the nonferrous metals industry.
Dr. Shen Louyan, majored in hydraulic engineering, has kept studying after her graduation from Jiangxi University of Technology in 1992. She received her PhD in Wuhan University in 2011 and acquired the title of "postdoctoral fellow" of mineral engineering in Central South University in 2014. Dr. Shen Louyan, as China Nerin’s technical backbone expert and academic leader, has been engaged in tailings facilities design and research for more than 20 years, taken charge of and completed more than 20 key construction projects and longitudinal research projects, such as the Fourth Red Mud Pond Project of CHALCO Henan Branch and Tailing Pond Expansion Project of JCC Wushan Copper Mine; coedited and published 2 national technical codes in non-ferrous metals industry; been awarded the Second Price of National Scientific and Technological Progress and the Provincial and Ministerial Excellent Design & Consultation Award for almost 20 times, 14 authorized patents as the first inventor and 1 software copyright; and been included in provincial and ministerial “talents projects” for 7 times, including “Jiangxi Provincial Government Special Allowance Expert”, “Jiangxi Provincial New Century Talents Project”, “Provincial Innovation Leading Talent”, “Provincial Young Scientist (Star of Jinggang Mountain)”, and “First National Outstanding Young Scientist Award in Non-Ferrous Metals Industry”.
Mr. Wang Wei has been engaged in non-ferrous metallurgical engineering design for 20 years after his graduation from Department of Nonferrous Metals Metallurgy, Central South University in 1998 with a master's degree. He has completed many national key construction projects, tackled hard-nut problems and undertaken engineering design and research for large-scaled overseas projects, including over 20 key projects such as 15kt/a Technical Upgrading Project for Jilin Ji’en Nickel Smelter, DRC Shituru Copper Mine Project, and TNMG Copper Smelting Process Technology Upgrade Project. He has been awarded the First Prize of CNIA Science and Technology Award and the First Prize of Provincial and Ministerial Excellent Engineering Design Award for 10 times, coedited 2 national technical codes in non-ferrous metals industry; and been included in “Jiangxi Provincial New Century Talents Project” and “Innovation Leading Talent of Ganpo Talents 555 Project”. Mr. Wang Wei has been committed to technological innovation and new technology promotion and application in metal metallurgy for a long time, led the team to make new achievements in engineering application of new processes and new equipment, solved a series of technical difficulties in major engineering construction, and made outstanding contributions to non-ferrous metallurgy in China.
In the future, China Nerin will put more efforts in talent selection and training to cultivate a group of talents with dedication, professionalism, passion, and creativity, so as to provide intellectual support for high-quality sustainable development of Jiangxi province and cultivate more leading talents for China's non-ferrous metals industry.
